A Billion Lives Better

Personal growth | Relationships | Health | New experiences | Impact

Ravi is a fervent advocate for a sustainably managed, digitally enabled future.

Since becoming a US citizen in 2016, he transitioned from a corporate consulting career spanning three continents to a purpose-driven journey in public service. In recognition of his contributions to local small business driven economy during and after the pandemic, Ravi was honored as Oak Park River Forest’s “Villager of the Year” in 2020 and “Community Titan” in 2022. He is on a personal mission to make a billion lives better in ways consistent with his values.

Oak Park

On the political front, Ravi was elected to the 7-member Oak Park Village Board as Trustee in 2021, amassing the highest votes.

He joins his board colleagues to set and fund the policy priorities for Oak Park, Illinois, a community with 55,000 residents and ~$200 million in budget. In his trusteeship, Ravi prioritizes community safety, community affordability/fiscal discipline, and sustainable and equitable economic development. Ravi’s civic dedication can also be traced back to his roles on the Oak Park Energy and Environment Commission and a private Waldorf school’s board, which he guided to national recognition as a Green Ribbon School.

Takeout 25

Ravi founded Takeout 25 in 2020, a pioneering initiative supporting local restaurants through the pandemic’s challenges.

This effort was recognized as the “Most Innovative Pandemic Startup” at the Illinois Governor’s Conference of Travel and Tourism in 2021 and bagged the Oak Park Green Award in 2022.

He has since set up Takeout 25 as a not for profit and expanded its mission to include local sustainability and food security
